Owen and Jaden met in high school in choir class. They became the best of friends and Owen just couldn't stay away! Even after moving away for college, he still came home almost every weekend to see her. They started dating sometime after and did long distance for a few years. 6 years later, they are living their best life as a married couple with their sweet Golden Retriever, Gunner. They got married on October 8th, 2022, and it was such an honor to be a part of this special day. We asked Jaden what her favorite part was and she said,” We 100% could not have gotten through the day without the Engaged Wedding Library team. They stepped in at all times and helped make so much come to life on our wedding day! It was the most beautiful celebration of our love that we will never forget, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.”

“As I planned my wedding, there were many things I noticed that I wish someone else had brought to my attention early on. My biggest piece of advice is to truly soak in every single moment of your day and do not stress. This is something you hear the most because it is so easy to let the little things get the best of you. It is difficult when you have spent so much of your time and money toward your big day and you want everything to be perfect. Those long hours that you have spent making a wedding binder, mood boards, gathering ideas from “Wedding Tok”, DIY’s, and whatever else will not always come out exactly how you want it to, and that is totally ok! To go along with that, remember that comparison is the thief of joy. I saw ideas from other weddings that I loved, but weren’t realistic for us or our budget. I spent a lot of time thinking of how to make my wedding perfect for others, and exhausted myself brainstorming ways to make my wedding “stand out” or meet/exceed others’ expectations. At the end of the day, this entire celebration is about you and your partner. Pick the food and cake that you both want, not what everyone else likes. Choose the music that BOTH of you will love, not what will entertain the crowd the most. Have a private dinner or dance and take some time to soak in the day with your significant other, not worried about time or making guests wait to see you. Comparison is the thief of joy and it is easy to let go of what you love because you have spent so much time thinking of ways to please others. Enjoy the wedding planning process and don’t lose yourself. Take in each moment leading up to your big day, do what makes you happy, and most importantly, have fun and cherish this moment with the love of your life. ”
