Real Engaged Wedding

Lauren & Sloan became “The Lewises” on Leap Day, February 29th, 2020. It’s no secret Lauren was the most chill bride! Even when flu symptoms struck them both the night before the wedding, they didn’t let it crush their spirits! There was nothing stopping this couple from becoming husband and wife on the most beautiful Saturday Alabamians had seen in months. From their floral coated staircase, to cookie dough desserts, tagged sparklers, and macaroon favors, this wedding day was an Engaged Girls’ favorite!

Their love story began four years ago, when they met through social media and from both attending Jacksonville State University. Lauren smiled during her Engaged 201 Meeting as she told us about their first date, a Sunday church service at Church of the Highlands and Chipotle dinner date. Three years later, Sloan got down on one knee for Lauren, at Birmingham attraction, the Vulcan! It was only fitting for them to say “I do” at the Highlands Chapel, followed by dinner and dancing at their reception venue, Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft.

“Our wedding day was nothing short of a dream, besides both of us being sick for the majority of the day. As they say “in sickness and in health.” However, our excitement to finally be married completely overshadowed how sick we felt. We had great time and our wedding went flawlessly! Our vendors and planning services through Engaged Wedding Library helped to create such a special day. I cannot say enough sweet things about the Engaged girls, their team provided us with connections to our awesome vendor team and guidance to help curate our big day. I am so thankful to be married and I do not regret one moment of my special day!”
