Real Engaged Wedding

Jenni & Caleb met their freshman year at Birmingham Southern College, and it wasn’t long after they knew they were meant to be! If you would have told these two their perfectly planned summer wedding day would have become impossible after countless hours of planning and preparing, they would have told you that was a lie. Love and commitment couldn’t wait. Mr. and Mrs. Riggs had an intimate wedding day at Clubhouse on Highland on May 8th, 2020. When the national pandemic affected their large guest count and original plans, the Engaged girls, vendor team, and their loved ones linked arms to pull together a stunning wedding day for the sweet couple.

Precious moments were shared. The wedding day consisted of an immediate family ceremony, drive-by reception filled with friends, a delicious seated dinner, and most of all, Jenni got her greatest wish, to become Mrs. Riggs! The newlyweds are eagerly awaiting to celebrate with all of their original guests this coming New Years Eve at Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft. Sweet, simple, and focused on the marriage- an Engaged girls’ favorite!

“Deciding to carry on with our wedding during COVID-19 was full of uncertainties and frustration. Our plans were constantly changing based on new guidelines involving social distancing and other restrictions. We weren’t even sure what date our wedding would be on until late April. May 8th turned out to be a very special day. The vendors we connected with through Engaged Wedding Library went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was everything that we had hoped it would be. They were all so understanding of the current situation and willing to work with us. Although it wasn’t anything I had dreamed of as a little girl, I loved the intimacy of our ceremony of 10 people. We were able to focus on the union of two families and the beginning of our new life together without the distraction of a big party afterward. Our friends stopped by for a cocktail hour and our families finished the night with a catered dinner. I’m glad we experienced our small ceremony this past May and am looking forward to our delayed reception on New Year’s Eve!”
