Ashley & Chase
Real Engaged Wedding
Ashley Constance & Chase Thigpen said their I do's on May 5, 2018, at Mathews Manor. Although it was hard to pick, Ashley describes her favorite moment of the day like this: “One of the most memorable moments was definitely our first look. There is no feeling quite like the one you experience during the hours, minutes, and seconds leading up to seeing your future husband’s reaction when he sees his bride for the first time. So many emotions were running through me, mostly fueled by nervous anticipation, but it was magical.”
If you haven’t noticed, a couple of our favorite colors here at Engaged are white & blush pink, so it would be safe to say that we immediately fell in love with Ashley’s vision for her wedding day when we had the privilege of helping her with her vendor selections.
Congratulations to the Thigpens from all of the girls here at Engaged! Get all of the vendor details for Ashley & Chase’s wedding day from the list below. Favors: “My husband is a big Sci-Fi fan so I thought the best way to incorporate a little piece of that into our wedding was to have a lightsabers send-off! I kept this huge surprise secret from Chase for the last four months before the big day. To say he was excited is an understatement—more like ecstatic! And the s’mores are sentimental to us because it was a fun dessert we would always make together when we were dating/engaged. It sort of just became our thing.”
Bridesmaids' Gifts: “My mom and I created gift boxes that I gave my bridesmaids and MOH when I ask them to be in my wedding. The gift box included a monogrammed champagne glass, small bottle of champagne, a Mississippi & Alabama shaped sugar cookie with a heart over our hometowns, and a bridesmaid candle. On the day of the wedding, I pampered the girls by paying for their hair and makeup. This was one less thing they had to worry about, and plus, it was fun to all get ready together the morning of the wedding.”
