Paige & Zach

December 30, 2022

We asked Paige what her favorite part of her wedding day was and she said, “Thinking back to Zach and I's wedding day, what stands out most is being surrounded by all of our best friends in one place, since they live all over the country. This was extremely special because it was our friends who introduced the two of us, who we survived college with, who have watched us grow as a couple, and who have been witness to some pretty special moments along the way. Zach and I met my first week in college (he was the year above me), but we didn't start dating until about a year later. His close friends quickly became like brothers and sisters to me and vice versa. These are the people who made up our wedding party & it was so special to us, because we intentionally chose the people who would surround us that day, to be the people who have surrounded us the past 5 years prior to getting married. That was just the best.”

I’d advise any future bride to really not succumb to the pressure or opinions of other people. I know everyone advises that, but I’m really so glad I ended up deciding what I wanted when it came to certain aspects, because this day is really a reflection of you (and the marriage aspect, of course lol). Do what YOU truly want, not what you think “it should be”. This is a silly example, but when it came to my hairstyle I thought I “had” to have it a certain way because it was a 6:00pm black-tie wedding in December. However, when I went to my trial run and did that certain style, I just did not feel like myself at all or what I was most comfortable in. I’m so glad I didn’t go with what I thought it “needed” to look like, because I wouldn’t have felt as beautiful as I did by just throwing my hair up. You know yourself best, so just trust yourself & everything will turn out 10x better than when you put so much pressure on it.
