Real Engaged Wedding

Kim & Jon are a delight, we’ll be the first to say! When Kim asked if we would coordinate her wedding, we couldn’t say “YES!” fast enough. As a librarian, Kim is a detail-oriented girl- she knew exactly what she wanted to make her wedding day perfect for her & Jon, but needed someone to execute her plan on the big day. Sidney took on the role of lead planner & Callie assisted throughout the day.

Kim Waller & Jon McCann said their vows on October 5, 2019 at Events at Haven in downtown Birmingham. Truman & Bo, Kim & Jon’s golden doodle pups, were the stars of the ceremony (yes, it was as adorable as you’re thinking!!). Following the ceremony, the space was transformed into a jaw-dropping reception, featuring The Magic City Sign from PropHouse Birmingham, a photo booth from The FlashBar Photo Co., and so many other unforgettable details from our team of vendors that we oh so love!

When Kim asked Jon for a word that he feels describes their wedding day, “He, the man who NEVER stops talking, was actually quiet for a few long seconds. He finally said, "perfect." I feel like that word is a bit of a cop-out, but I know what he means - that question is hard. Our day was many, many things, but perfect is the best possible descriptor. There isn't a thing we would want to change... the dogs going a little nuts coming down the aisle, the unexpected rain shower, the groom wearing a cast over his tux... all turned out to be perfectly us." I couldn’t have said it better myself!

From the endearing look on Jon’s face as Kim walked down the aisle, to the Steel City Pops at the reception & so much more, the day was as it was meant to be- just “perfect”!

“The best advice I can offer up for brides is don’t forget to “let go” the day of your wedding! Being the kind of person I am, I wanted to make sure everything was taken care of and I kept finding Sidney to ask her about this or that. Without fail, every single time I was answered with a gracious smile and a “It’s taken care of.” Eventually I got the memo that everyone else seemed to already know - that we were in good hands and I should just enjoy myself. And enjoy myself I did!”
